一個專為開關電源而設的計算器輔助設計概念

PowerEsim- 一個免費在線開關電源(SMPS)、電路及變壓器的設計、運算、仿真軟件，擁有過百個使用真實變壓器之電路及拓樸。

它提供一個虛擬實驗室的環境，讓用戶設定變壓器內每一個線圈的繞法。用戶亦可在資料庫內，按選過萬件在市場上的零件來完成線路。伺服器會在毫秒間完成計算並傳回結果。相比在真實環境下修改原型，所需的時間更短，亦不需擔心會炸機。它比真更好。

它是"結果導向設計"，用戶能在不需要專門知識的情況之下，短時間內設計出高質素的設計。另一方面，專家們亦可用PowerEsim 進行優化，提升設計的效能或使設計在同樣的性能下降低成本。它不但可以削減設計前期需要的時間，亦可作審批設計的好工具。

使用這個工具不需要抽象的概念或理論，和真實世界一樣，變壓器就是把繞線放在磁芯上，而不需懂馬克士威方程組，同樣地，設計者不需懂半導體物理來更換一個場效電晶體。
