Monte Carlo Analysis

Monte Carlo Analysis Module allows users to do random sampling on selected components. The following charts are shown:

  • histogram of total loss
  • histogram of each output voltage

  • Besides, the absolute sensitivity of each components is shown.

For each selected component, you can see the details including
  • Mean
  • Distribution Type
  • Standard Deviation (SD)

  • You can select components by checking the checkboxes next to the components and press "Apply".

Planar transformer spiral winding is now supported. Monte Carlo Analysis for core loss and wire resistance of transformer are now available.

    Add Fly Pin
In Generate Drawing Page of the Magnetic Builder, user can define the termination of the wires; details of the transformer e.g. part number, description, etc. In this page, clicking the button "Add Fly Pins" will redirect user to the Add Fly Pin page as shown below.

User can add or delete fly pins by pressing the corresponding button. User should assign each fly pin a number in the "Fly Pin No." text box. Defining the lead out position at combo box "Position". Defining side of the bobbin at which the wire is lead out at combo box "Left/Right". Defining whether the wire should lead out at the top or bottom of the bobbin at combo box "Lead Out At". Wire length and the dip solder length can be defined at text boxes "Lead Length" and "Dip Solder" respectively.
