6.1 What is waveform analysis? Back to top
Waveform analysis typically plots the voltage and current of important components in a specific operating condition.

6.2 How to start Waveform Analysis as a Standalone Tool Back to top
Click on "Waveform" on the left main menu to start Waveform Analysis.

6.3 Introduction to Interface (Standalone Tool) Back to top
Since Waveform Analysis is not stand alone tool:
Users must initialize a design before using Waveform Analysis.
Click the [Topology] button to start a design from Topology.
For details about starting a design from topology, please refer to Session 2.2.2--Start a Design from Topology.
If users want to start a design via another method, please refer to Session 2.2--Start a power supply design.

After initializing a design, please refer to Session 6.5--Introduction to Interface (with topology) for details on how to use this tool.

6.4 How to start Waveform Analysis with topology Back to top
After initializing a design, on the circuit design view page click on "Waveform" on the left main menu to start Waveform Analysis.

6.5 Introduction to Interface (with topology) Back to top
  1. Plots in Waveform Analysis
  2. Operating Condition Setting

6.5.1 Plots in Waveform Analysis Back to top
There is a description on the right of every plot, mentioning the name of the plot, waveform represented by every line in the plot and the time base of the plot.
Click [preview] under the description, and a new window with the plot will pop up.

6.5.2 Operating Condition Setting Back to top
Users can modify the value of the operating condition (Ta, input voltage and loading current). After modification, please click on "Recalculate" on the right to update the changes. Waveform Analysis results will then be changed.
